Who Has Seen the Wind?

by Christina G Rossetti

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang tremblin,
The wind is passing through.

Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.

Who Likes the Rain?

by Clara Doty Bates

"I," said the duck. "I call it fun,
For I have my pretty red rubbers on;
They make a little three-toed track,
In the soft, cool mud, ---quack! quack!"

"I !" cried the dandelion,
"I ! My roots are thirsty, my buds are dry."
And she lifted a tousled yellow head
Out of her green and grassy bed.

"I hope 'twill pour ! I hope 'twill pour !"
Purred the tree-toad at his gray bark door,
"For, with a broad leaf for a roof,
I am perfectly weather-proof."

Sang the brook: "I laugh at every drop,
And wish they never need to stop
Till a big, big river I grow to be,
And could find my way to the sea."

"I," shouted Ted, "for I can run,
With my high-top boots and raincoat on,
Through every puddle and runlet and pool
I find on the road to school."

Rain

By Robert Louis Stevenson
The rain is raining all around
It falls on field and tree,
In rains on the umbrellas here,
And on the ships at sea.
